What Is Standards Compliance?

Most web publishers have agreed on a set of standards - this makes it a lot easier for one person or company to work alongside others.

These standards include guidelines for things like:

  • Consistent design across varying equipment
  • Ease of access for visually impaired users
  • Ease of access across devices such as mobile internet
  • Ease of access for those using special equipment (e.g. those with physical disabilities)
